Technical Writer:
Position Description:
Successful candidate will utilize technical and business writing skills to prepare technical reports, publications, proposals, and related documents; reviews and edits material for proper use of terminology, style, direction, content, grammar, punctuation and clarity; designs and lays out format, etc. This position will be in support of Information Security Assessors who perform vulnerability and risk assessments internationally.
Examples of Tasks:
- Write technical reports based on input from security assessments and IT Audits
- Write proposals based on inputs from sales team, consultants, and client requests for proposals (RFPs)
- Create and update reporting templates for security assessment and IT Audit service offerings
- Create and update proposal templates for various service offerings
- Create draft policies and procedures for delivery to clients
- Review and edit reports and writings of other consultants
- Review and edit web site copy
- Draws / creates and / or selects graphic charts, working drawings, illustrations, etc. for client deliverables, marketing material, and web site
- Provide consultation and recommendations on deliverable and other documentation formats
Skills ad Requirements:
- Very proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge of or ability to learn Crystal Reports a plus
- Extremely detail orientated
- Technology background - certifications are a plus (N+, CCNA, CISSP)
- Knowledge of and experience in information security industry a big plus
- Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely in writing
- Ability to speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to and understand information and ideas as presented verbally
- Self motivated
Candidates must be able to pass thorough background investigation for employment and subsequent Government Security Clearances.
Experience:
5 plus years verifiable computer related experience security or auditing experience a plus.
Travel:
On occasion ability to travel internationally 1-3 times per year
